Integrated Development of a Unified Standard 3U System (InDUS3US)
InDUS3US aims to guide local space-adjacent industries to participate in the growing upstream space economy through transfer of space technology know-how. The project will impart spacecraft system and subsystem technology development knowledge to participating companies through a series of lectures and through a focused hands-on training activity towards the development of a small, 3U-class, demonstration satellite.
In the long run, InDUS3US hopes to create a robust space ecosystem in the country that will directly support the local production of commercial satellites, such as MULA.
Another component of InDUS3US is the proliferation of space systems standards in partnership with Department of Trade and Industry - Bureau of Philippine Standards (DTI-BPS). Having a set of internationally-recognized standards will help locally-made space technology products to enter the international market.
