The PINAS Project of the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) is launching its Citizen Science Network through a data gathering activity and competition from 07 to 12 August 2023 during Philippine Space Week.  

Citizen scientists can collect, and upload field data related to landcover, marine environment, agriculture, and disaster-related incidents to the PhilSA ODK server. 

Th PINAS Citizen Science Network highlights the importance of actively participating in utilizing the value of space data.

PINAS, or the PhilSA Integrated Network for Space-Enabled Actions towards Sustainability, envisions an active network of institutions and people to #JoinTheMission and work together toward sustainability using space data and information. Launched last October 2022, LGUs, NGAs, CSOs, the academe, and individuals were invited to #JoinTheMission here. Previous workshops were also held in Iloilo City, Palawan, Ilocos Region, and Oriental Mindoro.
