Lift Off: The 2022 PhilSA Space Science Camp
The Space Science Camp is one of PhilSA's initiatives to promote space science and technology education in the country. This annual event will invite high school students and teachers, campus journalists, and young science communicators to participate in the following activities:
- Introductory lectures on space science and technology applications (SSTA), satellite missions planning, building space infrastructures, upstream and downstream applications, and career opportunities in SSTA
- Workshops on applying SSTA concepts, and generating multi-media content on mobilized space data
- Space science contests
- Learning sessions on scholarships available for students, and networking opportunities
In partnership with the Department of Education, the Department of Science and Technology- Science Education Institute, the Moon Village Association, and Philippine educators and learners, the Space Science Camp will be held in different parts of the country.
Due to the pandemic, the 2022 PhilSA Space Science Camp will be held in a hybrid format.
