Validating The Philippine Mangrove Map 2023 through Capacity Building and Crowdsourcing

The Philippine Mangrove Map 2023 was created using Machine Learning to allow rapid monitoring and accounting of these vital forests. To ensure map accuracy, a nationwide validation approach was developed, incorporating data from satellite imagery, GPS points, and citizen science, promoting collaboration and capacity building for improved data quality.
