The Philippine Space Agency, in collaboration with the University of Santo Tomas Senior High School (USTSHS) Science Department, demonstrated the capabilities of space data with SciBits: Science, Society and Sustainability.
PhilSA experts facilitated a 2-day workshop from 15 to 16 February 2024 where Grades 11-12 students in the STEM strand learned about the utilization of space data for disaster monitoring and satellite imaging.
The participants also learned about other applications of space science and technology as well as the missions and payloads of Philippine satellites.
A workshop was also held for USTSHS educators on 29 January 2024 to train and familiarize them with the workshop topics and tools that will be used for the classroom lessons.
