Prior to the training and the worldwide celebrations of International Women’s Day on 08 March, PhilSA held its yearly Women’s Month edition of the Cosmickapihan flag-raising ceremony on 06 March. Part of the special program was a trivia quiz on laws for the protection and empowerment of women, such as the Magna Carta for Women (RA 9710), Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 (RA 9262), and the Safe Spaces Act or Bawal Bastos Law (11313). The quiz comprised scenario-based questions covering topics on gender discrimination, gender-based violence, and workplace etiquette.  As a young Agency, PhilSA strives to attain an inclusive culture regardless of gender by diversifying its workforce, ensuring the participation of women in leadership roles, and eliminating gender bias.

The 2023 International Women’s Day celebrations called attention to equity and digital inclusivity. Throughout March, PhilSA employees will #JoinTheMission to #EmbraceEquity, participate in the worldwide online campaign, and share their thoughts on the theme “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality.”
