The National Greening Program (NGP), the Philippines’ most ambitious reforestation initiative, was launched to address environmental sustainability and combat climate change. To evaluate its effectiveness, the Zambales Province NGP site was assessed using land cover maps, NDVI (Sentinel-2 and MODIS), and RVI and RFDI (Sentinel-1 SAR) indices, processed via Google Earth Engine. Results showed increasing vegetation density and cover, as evidenced by NDVI, RVI trends, and land cover data. This study highlights advancements in environmental monitoring with applications in global land use and conservation efforts.
