Utilizing the Global Skynet Telescope Network for Space Observation Activities at the Philippine Space Agency

Ever since the Space Race, the golden age of space and astronomy continues to this day as advances in science and technology further the reach of our observation and understanding of the universe. It is important to be aware of the developments in space science R&D done in the past, present, and ones that are planned for the future to know how we could contribute to space science and other space-adjacent fields.

The scientific landscape of astronomy and its community are steadily growing in the Philippines, but there is still plenty of room for development. From past technical fora, scientific research, and engagements— to recent observation trials on asteroids and exoplanets. This talk will explore the endeavors, active programs, research, and projects of the Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA) specifically for astronomy and astrophysics.

This study is part of the 1st Philippine Space Science and Astronomy Research Conference (PSSARC) on 11-12 August 2025 at the Adamson University in Manila.
